Stuck Pixel vs Dead Pixel
A stuck pixel commonly remains one color or fails to update correctly, while a dead pixel appears persistently dark because it emits no visible light. Visual symptoms can also come from dust, reflections, scaling, image retention, or a damaged screen layer, so repeat the inspection carefully.

Subpixel faults, panel damage, pressure, image retention, graphics artifacts, dirt on the surface, and content scaling can look similar. A screenshot cannot capture a physical panel defect: if the mark appears in a screenshot viewed on another display, the source is more likely software or image content.

Try these checks in order
- Step 1. Clean the screen safely, disable night filters, use native resolution.
- Step 2. open the full-screen color test. Inspect black, white, red, green.
- Step 3. blue backgrounds from a normal viewing distance, then closer. Move the test window or compare an external display.
- Step 4. photograph the panel only for your own reference..
Change one thing at a time and repeat the browser test. That makes it easier to identify which permission, connection, or routing change actually restored the signal.
What the browser test can confirm
The test provides controlled solid colors that make persistent bright, dark, or off-color points easier to see. A web page cannot automatically detect physical pixels, classify warranty status, repair the panel, or distinguish every panel-layer defect.
Limits and privacy
The screen test needs no camera or microphone permission. It displays colors locally and sends no image of your screen to the test engine.
A successful browser result means the expected event or stream reached this page during the test. It is useful evidence, but it is not a repair, calibration, warranty, or manufacturer certification.
