Try these checks in order
- Step 1. Focus the mouse test area, click every button, scroll both directions, move and drag.
- Step 2. try side buttons. Reconnect the mouse, replace batteries, bypass a hub, disable remapping temporarily.

Change one thing at a time and repeat the browser test. That makes it easier to identify which permission, connection, or routing change actually restored the signal.
What the browser test can confirm
The test can count browser clicks and wheel events, show held buttons, pointer travel, and common Back/Forward inputs. It cannot read vendor firmware, detect every proprietary button, measure switch electronics, or certify the physical device.
